How We Deliver
How We Deliver
At Cotswold Doors, we take great care in ensuring that every product is delivered securely and efficiently. Our delivery process is designed to protect your goods and ensure they arrive in perfect condition, no matter the size or complexity of your order.

Door Leaves
For veneered door leaves, we use UV-proof protective bags to shield the product during transit, particularly for lacquered finishes. Paint-grade doors, however, do not require bag protection. When a vision panel is included, additional fibreboard pads are used for extra protection. All door leaves are stacked on bearers, stretch-wrapped onto pallets, and labeled clearly for easy identification. We can stack a maximum of 25 door leaves (15 for those with vision panels) for efficient distribution.

Door Frames
Frames sent in kit form are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit. Components are stretch-wrapped, strapped, and labelled, then placed on bearers for added stability.

For complete doorsets, we ensure that the veneered and lacquered door leaf is fully protected with a UV-proof bag. To prevent the door from opening during transit, wooden batons are fixed across the width of the doorset, ensuring the frame remains secure and easy to handle. Once wrapped onto a pallet, the doorset is labeled according to the delivery location for quick identification on-site.

Pairs of Doors
When delivering pairs of doors, the frames will arrive in kit form with the door leaves packed separately. Every individual component is clearly labelled to simplify identification and assembly.

Screens
Screens are carefully positioned on the bed of the trailer and tightly stretch-wrapped together to ensure stability during transit. Each screen is individually labelled to assist with matching it to the appropriate glass, if supplied by us. If glass is part of the delivery, it will be sent directly from our supplier and clearly labelled with a unique reference to match the screen and its designated opening.

Delivery Vehicles & Offloading
We use a variety of vehicles for delivery, ranging from 40-foot curtain-sided trailers to flatbeds or pick-up trucks, depending on the size and location of the load. If you have restricted access, please inform us when placing your order so we can arrange for a suitable vehicle. For deliveries requiring offloading with a forklift, we can provide a trailer with a Moffett forklift at an additional charge.
To ensure safe and efficient unloading, products are packed to be offloaded using mechanical means, such as a forklift or side loader. If you need alternative unloading methods, please notify us when you place your order. As a courtesy, we include a warning note on the delivery paperwork to highlight that our products are heavy and should be handled by more than one person. However, the responsibility for risk assessment remains with the site personnel.

Reporting Defects
We ask that any visible damage or defects be reported in writing on the delivery note immediately. Any damage discovered after the delivery must be reported within 48 hours to ensure prompt resolution.
Our aim is to make sure your delivery experience is seamless and secure, providing you with the right products, on time, and in excellent condition.
